If You’re ABD with ADHD, You Probably Recognize This Pattern:
You care deeply about finishing your dissertation.
You think about it constantly.
But when it’s time to write:

It’s not a lack of intelligence. It’s not laziness. And it’s not that you don’t know how to write.
It’s an executive function issue, especially around activation, effort regulation, and emotional load.
The longer the avoidance continues, the heavier the project feels. And that’s exhausting.
You're not alone, and there’s a better way forward.

You Don’t Need More Willpower. You Need the Right Structure.
Most dissertation advice assumes:

For graduate students with ADHD, that assumption is flawed.
From Procrastination to Progress is built around how ADHD affects activation, effort regulation, and long-term academic work.
